A BARNSLEY woman has admitted to not ensuring three cats were looked after properly.

Sadie Emma Whiteley, 27, of Peveril Crescent, Athersley South, appeared at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.

She was charged with not taking steps to ensure that the needs of the animals were met to the extent required by good practice. She did not provide adequate toilet facilities, vet treatment or adequate parasitic control which led to infestation.

She was remanded on unconditional bail until her next court date at the same court on February 22.
