PUPILS at Outwood Academy Shafton hosted their third charity motorcycle show earlier this month to raise funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and collect items for Barnsley Foodbank Partnership.

The Bike Fest took place to raise as much money as possible for the chosen charity, but to also raise the profile of motorcycling within the community.

The event was dedicated to Terry Summers, a local engineer who co-founded the festival with Christopher Rooke and worked alongside the school’s engineering students.
