THE local community came out in their hundreds to support a music festival at Manvers Lake.
Taking place late last month, a sell-out crowd were treated to a huge line-up of local artists.
Chris Wordsworth, from Manvers, said: “We have this fantastic lakeside setting which is the perfect backdrop for a music festival.
“Alongside local companies ‘Sunflower Festivals’ and ‘Select Events’ we planned and delivered the event in just over six weeks.
“We were delighted with it’s success. It really brought the community together and to see the huge smiles on peoples faces made it all worth while.
“We wanted it to be a family friendly event for the local people to enjoy.
“Hopefully this is the first of many festivals and events to take advantage of this wonderful lakeside setting – watch this space.”.
