'For 90 minutes people can just forget about all their problems'

A NEW Sunday league football team will launch in Hoyland in the coming weeks.

Simon Davies, founder of Hoyland Support and Social Group, will launch the team alongside Andrew Forbes, who is set to be the manager.

They hope the new team will provide people with the opportunity to make friends, advance their skills as a player and improve mental wellbeing.

“Me and Andy got together and had a chat and we are currently working on sorting everything out for the upcoming season,” said Simon.

.“We are just waiting on confirmation on the pitch we will use and training will start the first week in July.

“For 90 minutes on a Sunday people can just forget about all their problems in life.”
