RESIDENTS are being encouraged to complete a crime and antisocial behaviour survey which will help shape plans to create a ‘safer Barnsley’.

The Safer Barnsley Partnership Board comprises Barnsley Council, South Yorkshire Police and a number of other local organisations.

Coun Wendy Cain, cabinet member for public health and communities, said: “As we continue our efforts to make Barnsley a safer place for everyone, hearing from those who live, work, and visit the borough is vital.

“Your views will help us understand people’s perceptions and experiences, helping to shape our priorities accordingly.

“Therefore, I strongly encourage everyone to take a few minutes to fill in the survey and share their thoughts on crime and antisocial behaviour in our borough.”

The JSIA survey aligns with the council’s Barnsley 2030 strategy, which aims to transform Barnsley into a place of possibilities.

The survey can be found on the Barnsley Council website.
