TWO sculptures by Barnsley-born artist Graham Ibbeson have been installed in the Cooper Gallery garden.
On display inside the gallery is an exhibition by world-renowned artist Henry Moore exploring his influences over the years, from artists such as Henri Gaudier, Brzeska and Jacob Epstein to ancient sculptures from Mexico and beyond.
Jon Finch, head of culture and visitor economy, said: “We are delighted to have artwork of such calibre on display in the Cooper Garden for visitors to enjoy.
“Graham’s sculptures are fascinating, and intriguing, and it is wonderful to appreciate them in such close proximity.”
Graham added: “These two bronzes show quite a different aspect of my work.
“They were made after the birth of my first grandchild 19 years ago, and both sculptures are more about the shape, form, and the rhythm of the work, rather than the narrative.”
