HISTORIANS have appealed to the public for information about a silver-plated rosebowl which was donated to them by a local school.
Cudworth Local History Group took possession of the item, which was created as a memorial to Dr Judith Barham, who died in 1970.
Having been funded by the Yorkshire Traction Company following the popular paediatrician’s death, little else is known about its history.
Linda Laughton, secretary of the Cudworth Library-based group, said: “It was donated to us by Churchfield Primary School and we’re hoping to learn more about it.
“We know Dr Barham was a successful lady and practised having attended Barnsley Girls’ High School.
“If anyone can help shed more light on the rosebowl and Judith’s life, we’d love them to get in touch with us.”
