BARNSLEY Sea Cadets have put out an SOS for female volunteers.
The Sea Cadets currently have only two female volunteers and if they can’t find a female who can be in the building on Mondays and Thursdays they will have to close.
Chairperson Maddison Brown said: “Barnsley Sea Cadets desperately needs female volunteers to sit in the building on cadet evenings so that we can open.
“We run on a Monday and Thursday 7pm-9pm and we would be incredibly grateful if you or any women you know can come and just sit in the building. We have full Wifi access and an office, and you’re more than welcome to come in watch a film, read a book, knit, or do some work.”
