TOP Egyptologists Professor Joann Fletcher and Dr. Stephen Buckley will be live-streamed across the world in a special event as part of Barnsley Museums’ Tut 22 programme.

The ‘Audience with’ event will take place at Barnsley Six Form College next Thursday (March 16).

Joann and Stephen will chat to journalist Graham Walker about their long careers in Egyptology and will offer insights into their research studying Tutankhamun’s dynasty, and how science - combined with the latest digital technology - has helped resurrect life in Ancient Egypt in a truly remarkable way.

There will be lots of interesting stories along the way as well as a live Q & A session, where people can ask anything about the subject.

Barnsley Museums are live streaming the event, so people can watch it around the globe.

There is a charge of £5 to Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust to view the event.

Coun. Robert Frost, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “Tut 22: The life of Tutankhamun has been an incredibly popular exhibition, attracting visitors from across the country and even as far afield as Egypt itself. We are delighted to have hosted an exhibition of such outstanding quality and to have once again worked alongside the brilliant Joann Fletcher. Tickets for the ‘Audience with’ event have been in extremely high demand and it’s fantastic that people can watch it across the globe.”
