BARNSLEY Council bosses are encouraging residents whose boiler is more than eight years old to apply for help.
As part of the council’s £3m investment in warm homes, they are able to replace or upgrade residents’ gas boilers.
A spokesperson said: “It must be more than eight years old and you must own your own home and have a low disposable income after housing and energy costs.
“Replacing an old boiler can help save up to 30 per cent on energy bills
“If we replace it, we may also be able to help to pay off your outstanding energy debt.
“Apply today to see if you qualify.
“Go to barnsley.gov.uk/warmhomes for more information and to apply or call 77336 to speak to the team.”
