A POGMOOR occupational therapist is hoping to win a national vintage modelling competition.

Kerry Flanagan, 34, has been interested in all things vintage for most of her life and even had a vintage, rock and roll wedding in July.

Kerry, who works at Sheffield Spinal Injuries Unit, said: “When I was growing up I loved Elvis and Buddy Holly music and all the old films and musicals and, as I got into my 20s, I developed my own 40s/50s style but it was only when I got into my 30s that I really grew the confidence to develop a real vintage look with my make up and hairstyle and was able to say: here I am, this is me.

“So when I saw the competition, I knew I wanted to enter.

“My vintage look really boosts my confidence and this is a massive goal for me.”

The competition is being run by national vintage brand Le Keux and has an online voting process the top five entrants will win a photoshoot and one will be selected to become the face of the brand.

“I’m really excited and am so grateful that people are voting for me,” she added.

“My husband, Joe, loves the era too and wears Buddy Holly style glasses and collects vintage style denim.

“We’re like two peas in a pod and this is who we are so this competition is just perfect for me.

“I had my hair and make-up done by Le Keux for my hen party and my wedding.”
