AN open day will take place at Barnsley Fire Station next month.
Kicking off at 10am on Broadway on Sunday, September 4, there will be demonstrations such as a chip pan fire and a traffic collision simulation, as well as a chance to meet the crews and their equipment.
There will also be refreshments, a bouncy castle, stalls and ‘soak a firefighter’.
Doors for the event will close at 4pm.
