BARNSLEY’S branch of the RSPCA is urgently appealing for cat and kitten foster carers.
It is currently kitten season, and the branch say they are desperately short of foster carers, meaning they don’t always have space to take in other cats who are in need of their help.
A spokesperson said: “We urgently need people who adore cats, and have time to spend, giving temporary care for our adult and pregnant cats, and kittens who have sadly lost their mums.
“Often these care are vulnerable and frightened and need huge amounts of patience and TLC.
“If you have a secure room to spare, away from other pets, or space for an outside pen and would love to help us, please contact us for a friendly chat.
“We provide all food, litter and equipment, support and veterinary care - you provide the love.
“We need you now.”
