TODAY will see more extreme heat across the borough as temperatures continue to climb.
This morning saw temperatures already hitting 29C at 10am, which is set to rise to a peak of 39C at 3pm.
Last night and into the early hours of Tuesday morning across Barnsley it did not fall below 22C, with a similar outlook predicted for this evening.
The amber weather warning for extreme heat issued by the Met Office remains in place for another consecutive day, with a 'moderate' pollen count and a peak UV rating of seven at 1pm.
