Age UK Barnsley postpone groups due to rising Covid cases

GUIDANCE from Barnsley Council and Berneslai Homes has led to Age UK Barnsley cancelling their indoor groups until next Friday.

The postponement comes due to the rising number of Covid cases in Barnsley.

A spokesperson for Age UK Barnsley added: “We have decided to cancel all groups that are run by Age UK Barnsley staff or volunteers with immediate effect until Friday July 22 hen the situation will be reviewed.

“The only exception will be for groups that meet outdoors.

“These groups should follow government guidelines in regard to spacing and sanitisation.
