RISING sexual-related offences against children will see officers stepping up their work to combat incidents.
Police bosses believe prolonged spells of lockdown have forced criminals online, leading to a rise in cyber-related offending.
Chief Superintendent James Abdy will provide official statistics in the coming weeks to members of the South Yorkshire Police public accountability board.
He added: “We’re undertaking a lot of work to understand the changing nature of this crime.”
