A DRIVER who was over twice the legal limit of alcohol was stopped in Hemingfield last week.
In the early hours of Friday morning, two special constables saw a vehicle speeding down Cemetery Road.
A spokesperson added: “The vehicle was stopped on Lady Croft Lane in Hemingfield where the driver blew 82 at the roadside, the legal limit being 35.
“The driver also tested positive on a drugs wipe for cocaine so was arrested on suspicion of being over the prescribed limit of alcohol and drugs and taken to custody.
“The driver then gave an evidential sample of breath in custody, blowing 58 with bloods also being taken to test the level of drugs in their system.”
