MARTIN Devaney will take charge of Barnsley for the first time tonight as they host Blackpool at Oakwell.

The Reds were relegated at Huddersfield on Friday and former head coach Poya Asbaghi resigned on Sunday.

Ex-Reds midfielder Devaney will take charge for the final few games of the season and his first test is Blackpool.

The Seasiders have had a good return to the Championship, securing their survival and even battering Birmingham City 6-1 earlier this month.

Blackpool beat the Reds 1-0 earlier this season but Barnsley will move off the bottom of the table with a win.

The game kicks off at 7.45pm tonight.
