Cultural 'walk and talk' event in town next week

A cultural 'walk and talk' is being held on Wednesday in the town centre.

Barnsley Libraries are hosting the event which will see a tour of Eldon Street give attendees a better idea of how the area shaped libraries and culture across the borough.

A spokesperson for Barnsley Libraries said: "Join us for a fascinating walk and talk on Eldon Street, discovering how the area helped to shape some of the growth of libraries and cultural education in Barnsley from the mid-1800s onwards."

Booking is essential for the event which is from 6pm until 7.30pm on Wednesday and bookings can be made at Events at our libraries (barnsley.gov.uk).
