AN Educating Yorkshire star met with Barnsley College students as part of their Week of Culture.

Musharaf Ashgar, well known for his appearance on the Channel 4 show back in 2013, spoke with students about resilience and determination.

Other guests throughout the week musician Catherine Rannus and Adam Smith, the founder and co-director of the mutli-award winning The Real Junk Food Project.

Lee Perks, enterprise team leader at the college, said: “The Week of Culture is a college-wide drive to give our students a variety of opportunities and experiences of different cultures and lifestyles.

“We would like to thank all of our visitors who helped make the week so successful.”
