MORE than 100 vehicles had their speed checked by officers on Wednesday following reports of speeding.
Officers from Barnsley’s North East Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted the speed checks in areas where road traffic collisions have recently occurred.
These included Burton Road and Fish Dam Lane in Monk Bretton, and Dog Hill in Shafton.
A police spokesperson said: “Over 100 vehicles were checked, with only one being over the speed limit.
“This driver was stopped and given words of advice in relation to speeding.”
