A PROLIFIC town centre beggar was arrested last week and sentenced to one day’s detention in the courthouse.
Clare Whitty, 41, of Bank Street, has been charged with a third breach of a criminal behaviour order after continuing to beg in the town centre last Friday.
She was remanded to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and pleaded guilty to the charge.
Whitty was sentenced to one day’s detention in the courthouse.
