KIRK Balk Academy’s under 15s girl cricket team are through to the Yorkshire finals later this year.
They won the South Yorkshire Schools indoor tournament on Tuesday and progressed to the next stage.
Carole Rice, grandmother of captain Eva Lane and fellow player Mia Lane, said: “We’re all so proud of the girls and we can’t wait to see them compete in the next round.
“I’m sure they’re good enough to go all the way to Lords.”
