BARNSLEY Council has released this year’s bin calendar online.

The calendar provides details of bin schedules from this month until next January, including new changes to the Christmas and new year service.

It’s available online on the Barnsley Council website, and those who don’t have access to a computer are encouraged to seek help from friends, family and neighbours.

Barnsley’s libraries are open for residents to view the schedule - though this should only be done where essential due to current restrictions.

Coun Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesperson for place, said: “Our bin calendar design makes it easy for residents to see at a glance when their bin days are.

“Just search for ‘Barnsley Council bin calendars’ to find it.

“If residents would like a paper copy of their annual bin collection calendar, they are available on our website to download and print at home.

“Alternatively, they can visit their local library, and a member of staff will assist them in printing off a paper copy.

“Printing is available at our libraries where essential and when booked in advance, although due to the current restrictions and the need to prevent the spread of Covid-19, we’d encourage residents to seek help from friends, family or neighbours wherever possible.

“Thank you to everyone for their continued efforts to recycle right in Barnsley and to those making the most of their brown bin for plastic pots, tubs part of our ongoing work to help make our borough more sustainable.”
