BARNSLEY Hospital’s Urology team has moved into a dedicated new unit on the site.
The team will provide a ‘one-stop’ clinic which will offer patients a more efficient and convenient service.
The department improves the hospital’s ability to investigate and diagnose patients.
A hospital spokesperson said: “We hope to be able to reduce the number of times some patients will have to attend for appointments - as many as seven appointments could be rolled into a single attendance.
“This will contribute to the wider efforts across the NHS to catch-up on backlogs caused by the pandemic.”
