BARNSLEY Council has completed ‘nearly all’ its missed bin collections over the Christmas period.
A number of collections were missed and blue and brown bins were forced to be rescheduled.
The council encouraged residents to leave their bins out over the festive period and they aimed to have all missed collections completed by Monday.
A spokesperson added: “We have managed to catch up on nearly all of the missed bins over the last few days – however, there’s a few outstanding.
“If your bin is still to be collected, please leave it out, and our teams will come back to empty it.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
