TWO toddlers and a pensioner suffered injuries – which left one in hospital – on Tuesday after a road traffic collision in Middlecliffe.

Officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Billingley Lane, at 3.30pm.

It is believed that the driver, a 25-year-old woman, of a grey Skoda Fabia lost control on a bend.

She suffered injuries to her pelvis and ankle.

Her passengers, a 72-year-old woman and two girls aged two and three, also suffered injuries.

The 72-year-old remains in hospital with spine and head injuries, while the two-year-old girl suffered injuries to her face and skull.

The three-year-old girl suffered minor injuries.
