A BARNSLEY coach company will offer its services to NHS staff at the hospital for free next week due to the Stagecoach strike.

Dave Mills, who owns Yorkshire Rose, took to Facebook on Thursday night to help hospital staff get to work.

Stagecoach announced that its workers would strike from today until Friday over a pay dispute, leaving many Barnsley residents without a way to get to and from work.

Dave said: “This will be very difficult time for all the management and staff/drivers at Stagecoach and I’m sure no one really wants this and will be a last resort for them all.

“But if this what they have chosen to do then we will fully support them.

“After speaking to some my team today we are going to offer a free service to any NHS staff that can’t get in to Barnsley Hospital to work due to the strike.

“Some of my team have offered to give up their time free of charge and I’m willing to provide the minibuses and fuel to pick you up, take you to work, and return you afterwards.

“My only ask is that you only take us up on this if you have no other way of getting to and from work.”

If this service will be of help to you, contact the company on Facebook or by calling 01226 385639.
