TO help keep coronavirus rates from rising, residents are being urged to open windows to dispel Covid particles.

In enclosed spaces, Covid particles can hang in the air like smoke – can infect others.

Residents are now being urged to open windows to encourage fresh air to circulate.

A spokesperson for Barnsley Council said: “Open windows to let fresh air into your homes, especially if you have visitors over, to help clear any Covid-19 particles away.

“We understand this is more difficult during the winter months; try opening windows for short bursts of time to keep the air moving.”
