MORE than 13 per cent of people taking a coronavirus test in Barnsley are receiving a positive result.
There has been 9,059 PCR tests - where swabs are taken to a lab - conducted in Barnsley in the last seven days and 13.4 per cent of those have returned positive tests.
Almost 700,000 rapid lateral flow tests - where results are given within an hour - have been taken since the start of the pandemic across the borough.
More than 50,000 of those were taken last month alone.
