BARNSLEY Hospital is holding an elbow crutches amnesty due to a national shortage.
Hospital bosses are asking the public to return any unwanted and reusable elbow crutches to the Physiotherapy Department ‘as soon as they can’.
A hospital spokesperson added: “If dropping equipment off by car, please enter the hospital site using the Pogmoor Road entrance and mention at the barrier you are dropping off elbow crutches to the physiotherapy department.
“Go to entrance A4, and then to the physiotherapy reception to leave the crutches with the staff there.
“For the safety of others, please wear a mask while you’re at the hospital, and please do not leave any items unattended.”
