POLICE officers have been roaming round Barnsley’s shops asking owners not to sell eggs and flour to kids under 16.
Barnsley North’s Neighbourhood Policing Team are hoping it will reduce antisocial behaviour in the area as part of the force’s Dark Nights scheme.
A police spokesperson added: “It’s one of a number of measures by the team to ensure a safe and enjoyable Halloween and bonfire period including targeted patrols, schools presentations, test purchase operations.
“To help ensure we are in the right area at the right time please report incidents of antisocial behaviour to us via 101, online portal or social media hub.”
