BARNSLEY Hospital’s maternity service has changed the way expectant mums receive their first hospital appointment.
You’ll now receive your first appointment and dating scan - 12 weeks - through a text message and therefore the hospital are asking people to give correct details to your midwife when booking.
A spokesperson for the hospital added: “All other hospital and scan appointments will be sent out by letter until this service is rolled out successfully.
“If your scheduled appointment is due to be less than seven days away then you will receive a phone call.”
