THERE were 262 babies born in Barnsley last month – with only 12 more boys born than girls.
The Barnsley E-Midwife has released the figures which show that 138 boys were born compared to 126 girls.
There were two sets of twins born and 13 babies were born on September 28 – making it the busiest day that month.
The heaviest baby weighed in at 10lbs 7oz and the smallest was just 2lbs.
