BARNSLEY Council will offer insulation and heating works to low household incomes living in low energy-efficient properties this winter.

As part of Warm Homes Week, the council is trying to ensure that residents can heat their homes affordably this weekend.

Coun Tim Cheetham, cabinet spokesperson for place, said: “We want our residents to have a home which is warm and safe to live in, particularly during the winter months when they spend more time indoors.

“If you’re struggling to heat your home, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

“Our team offers a range of practical support and advice which will help you stay safe, well and warm.”
