BOOSTER coronavirus jabs will be offered to people aged 50 and over and those who are most at-risk in Barnsley following new government guidance.

Those in care homes, frontline health and social care workers, as well as vulnerable people 16 and over are part of the most ‘at-risk’ group.

Residents who are eligible for their booster jab will be contacted by the NHS from as early as next week.

The third dose should not be given until at least six months after a person has received their second jab.
