FIREFIGHTERS from across the borough were called to ten blazes in Barnsley this week - 90 per cent of which were started deliberately.

There were three vehicles fires dealt with by crews from Barnsley's stations - all of which were deemed to have been deliberately started.

There were four wheelie bin fires as well as two grass fires.

Wednesday night heading into Thursday morning was the busiest night for the fire crews who attended three blazes.

They were called out to Grimethorpe, Hoyland and Monk Bretton - all of which were deliberate.
