OFFICERS from a local neighbourhood policing team carried out patrols throughout Hoyland this week and helped to tackle speeding in the area.
A speed operation was carried out by officers from Barnsley South NPT on Hoyland Road.
This was done in response to residents' concerns about the speed of vehicles along the road.
In a 40 minute patrol, 77 vehicles were recorded – three of which were found to be travelling over the speed limit.
A car without any insurance was also seized from Jump and the male driver was processed for driving without insurance.
The team also tackled off road biking, and were able to identify an off road biker in Darfield. The rider was found thanks to work by the local community.
