A DATE has been confirmed for a charity event in aid of a Hoyland youngster with leukaemia.

Enya Haugen Jackson, seven, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in July last year and has since undergone chemotherapy as part of her treatment.

The community have once again come together to offer their support for the family – with fundraisers and charity events already set up to help ease financial burdens which have crippled the family financially.

On September 25, at the Beggar and Gentleman pub, there will be a charity event with all the donations going towards Enya’s support fund.

On offer will be face painting, virtual horse racing, raffles and karaoke among other things.

The event will take place from 1pm until 5pm.

There’s also a charity football match which will kick off at 11am on the Forge.
