BARNSLEY Hospital has revealed that almost 250 babies were born last month with more than half of the newborns being boys.
The midwifery unit at the hospital reveal monthly figures detailing the different types of births throughout the month.
A total of 248 women under the care of the team birthed their babies in July - 127 of those were boys.
One set of twins were born and July 15 was the busiest day as 15 babies were born.
The heaviest baby was ten pounds and six ounces, whilst the smallest was two pounds and four ounces.
