THE BODY of a man was found at a property in the town centre after police executed a welfare check.
Police were called to a property on Wood Street at 2.17pm on Saturday following reports of concerns for safety of the occupant.
Upon arrival the body of a 50-year-old man was found.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “The man’s death is being treated as unexplained at this time, and we are currently awaiting the full results of a post-mortem examination.”
