RESIDENTS are being encouraged to wear a face covering ‘where they can’ in libraries across the borough.

Barnsley Council has asked people to ‘support’ staff in keeping everyone as safe as possible.

A spokesperson said: “If you’re popping over to one of our libraries this week, please try to wear a face covering if you can.

“Especially if the area is busy.

“This will help us welcome you safely and keep all of our staff and customers as safe as possible.

“This will help to reduce the spread of Covid-19.”
