FIREFIGHTERS from across the borough were called to seven deliberate fires in Barnsley this week.

These included two campervan blazes and a number of rubbish fires.

There was one accidental fire - on Tuesday night - where three fire crews were called to a house fire in Silkstone.

Firefighters from Penistone, Barnsley and Tankersley stations were called out to the property on Towngate at 10.25pm.

The fire was in the kitchen and involved a toaster - there were no reports of any casualties.
