RESIDENTS across the borough should report crimes using 101 or through live-chat as technical issues cause temporary delays to the police’s reporting portal.

Today (June 7), South Yorkshire Police have been experiences issues with its online reporting portal.

This has meant that the team cannot register new accounts or receive any report forms.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “If you’ve already registered with us, you can continue to use our live-chat function.

“You can also call 101 or send an email to enquiries@southyorks.pnn.police.uk. Always call 999 in an emergency.

“We’re working on getting all aspects of the portal up and running as quickly as possible.”
