A NEW community defibrillator could be a smart move for Darfield.
The defibrillator, a joint move by Darfield Ward Alliance, the South Area Team and Smart Door Solutions, on Church Street – where the box is located – has now been registered with Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
The firm has also volunteered to provide power and carry out installation work, as well as staff becoming guardians and carrying out weekly checks.
“When we were asked, naturally we jumped at the chance to be involved in this project, as we know that these are a vital piece of life saving equipment,” said a spokesperson for Smart Door Solutions.
“As this is installed on our external fence, on Church Street, this means the defibrillator is available 24/7 so there aren’t any access restrictions for the public.
“A massive thanks to the Darfield Ward Alliance for getting us involved in this project and making Darfield a better place.”
