BARNSLEY Hospice welcomed back some of its volunteer gardeners to help restore its gardens to their former glory.

The hospice are also asking residents to support their team by donating any garden supplies such as climbing plants, pots, or shrubs.

A spokesperson for Barnsley Hospice said: “Our volunteers have always been a huge part of the hospice, and they have been incredibly missed over the past year.

“As restrictions begin to ease, we have been so pleased to welcome back our volunteer gardeners, as they begin the journey of restoring our gardens to their former glory.

“The gardens are an incredibly important part of the hospice, and we are so grateful for the care, and hard work our volunteers put into ensuring they are always at their best, so that they can be enjoyed by our patients and their loved ones.”
