A MAN has been arrested and charged after taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent during a ‘two-in-one’ burglary on Friday.
Mohammed Khan, 42, of Spotswood Road in Sheffield, was arrested on Friday (May 14) following a break-in at commercial premises in Mapplewell.
Khan will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on June 17.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police told We Are Barnsley: “A man has been charged after a reported two-in-one burglary in Barnsley on Friday May 14.
“A two-in-one burglary is where a premises is broken in to, and vehicles at the address are also taken.
“At 8am on Friday, police were called to a commercial premises in Blacker Road, to reports that a break-in had taken place overnight and two vehicles had been stolen - a grey BMW and a Yamaha Fazer motorbike.
“The break-in is believed to have happened at around 12.50am.
“The BMW has been recovered by officers, however the motorbike with the registration CK58 BKU, is still outstanding.”
