FIREFIGHTERS from Cudworth station were called to a road sign fire in Higham last night - it marks the 16th fire reported to the team this week.
Crews arrived at 8.55pm to tackle the blaze on Hermit Lane (April 22), which is believed to have been started deliberately.
The team left the scene at 9.10pm.
Elsewhere that day, firefighters across the borough were called to other fires including a grassland fire at Lund Hill Lane in Royston at 8.15pm, a deliberate rubbish fire on Hastings Street in Grimethorpe at 2.25am this morning and a bin fire on Lang Avenue in Lundwood at 8.30pm last night.
