PUBGOERS can rejoice as more than 50 pubs across the borough are set to reopen their doors on Monday.
Landlords are gearing up for the long-awaited reopening of pubs having been forced to close for six months.
Pubs will only be allowed to open their beer gardens and venues that don’t have the facility to seat guests outside will have to wait to reopen in May.
Under current rules, visitors will be allowed to meet in groups of no more than six people in an outdoor setting.
Barnsley Campaign for Real Ale has compiled a list of pubs that are due to open on Monday.
The pubs that are due to open on April 12 include:

Crown and Anchor (advance booking required for meals)
Spencer Arms (booking required for tables in marquees)
Rose and Crown
Houghton Main Social Club
Sandhill Golf Club
Beggar and Gentleman
The Royal Oak
Old Bakery (booking available)
Talbot (booking available)
Wentworth Arms (booking available)
Kings Head Inn
Strafford Arms (need to book)
Horse and Jockey
Prince of Wales
The Old Town Hall
Boatman’s Rest (reopens on April 16)
