GREAT news for anyone wanting to get out and about and enjoy the sunshine this week, as Covid rules have begun to relax from today.

Under the coronavirus roadmap, from today (March 29) residents are able to meet in groups of up-to six people from different households, in an outdoor setting.

Golf courses, tennis courts, and swimming pools will also be allowed to reopen, but residents will have to wait until April 12 to visit a gym.

Grassroots sport will also be allowed to resume, but will have to abide by the rules of the corresponding governing body.

Anyone hoping to say “I do” can now have up to six people in attendance, and funerals remain at a 30 person limit.

While holidays aren't allowed until April 12, residents are urged to stay local while further restrictions are eased.

The second stage of the coronavirus road map will commence on April 12, when shops and pubs will be allowed to open.
